Trina Zahller

Trina Zahller is proud to support the mission of Firefighters for Plant Medicine as a content editor, organizer of behind-the-scenes details, and sole representative of first responder families. She can attest not only to the impact of first responder trauma on the entire family system, but also to the healing potential of plant medicines after witnessing its profound impact on her husband, FFMP Founder Paul Walton.
Outside of the work she does for FFPM, Trina is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has worked with medical trauma, Veterans, and serious illness since 2014. She has Advanced Certification as a Hospice and Palliative Care Social Workers (AHPSW-C) and is a Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist. She completed her Psilocybin Assisted Therapy (PAT) training with InnerTrek in June 2026 and is a certified facilitator in Colorado. She maintains a small private practice MindBodyHome NM and is a therapist for psilocybin research at UNM.
Prior to getting her MSW, Trina had 14 years of experience in advocacy, organizational development and community engagement, during which she worked on service learning, drug policy reform and environmental justice projects.
